In this article I want to talk to you about how best to drive traffic to your Internet market offer. But I’m going to approach this from a different perspective than you are used to hearing.
You see, everybody concentrates on the sources of traffic. They go to Google to get traffic, they go to Facebook to get traffic, they go to forums to get traffic. In short, they concentrate on the sources of traffic.
I’d like you to look at the people who represent your market. In other words, define who your target market is, what your niche is, and what problems you potential customers have.
Who needs the help you can provide?
You want to think as a problem solver, think about who needs you. The reality is that only people who need you are ever going to buy from you, and you are looking for buyers, right?
Problems You Can Solve
So instead of looking for traffic, look for people who have a problem that you can solve.
Once you have figured out who needs you, who has a problem you can solve, you can think about where they are, where these people hang out online.
Make a list of 10 forums they visit, 10 popular websites they visit, and then figure out a way to show your presence, make yourself known in those places.
Thinking From a Different Angle
Notice how you have turned everything around. Instead of thinking about the greatest sources of traffic, like Google or Facebook, you are thinking about the people who need the solutions you have to offer. You are going where those people are.
Thus, you are starting with the people who make up your target market, and then you go where those people are to be found.
If these people read articles, you be the one who writes the articles which will appeal to their needs. If there is any other specific content they seek, you be the one who provides it, and do it often!
If your target people are in social media groups, find a way into those groups. Make your presence felt in those places your people visit.
Your next question is how you can get involved in your niche, how can you make yourself know, and be present where and when these people are looking for the answers you can provide.
In essence, you have identified their problems, you have targeted traffic, and now you want to be available with the solutions.
This approach will get you to focus on your potential buyers. You will be screening your prospects. You will end up with eager prospects because they have a problem you can solve, and your conversions will go through the roof.
